Remember when weddings were fun? Eating all the good food and dancing. Dressing up in sarees and putting on fashionable jewelry (if you are a girl). For those of you blessed enough to be born later, the questions start later in your life but are much more intense thanks to your dada and didi joining in the barrage.

Some people ask just to tease. They were bombarded by the same questions so they might as well direct their prior frustration back towards you. This is why you do not want your didi and dada on your back.

If you just ask them why they are asking, they will act concerned stating they want to see you settled before you grow fat, ugly, and too old to marry. This ensures that the moment you become ready, you are happily married.

All they really want to hear is that you are thinking about your future. Since the ones asking the questions are mostly married, they will understand.
