Don't Ask For Too Many PicturesIf you've found someone online that interests you romantically, chances are you want to see a photo--or two, or three, or four! It's natural to request a picture of the person with whom you're corresponding, since physical attraction can mean the difference between a hot date or a "let's be friends" dinner. However, it's possible to ask for too many photos. In general, two or three photos including a close-up head shot, a full-length body shot, and one other picture, is a reasonable request. Start asking for four, five or six photos, however, and chances are your potential date is going to think you're only interested in appearances. Moreover, online dating is a fast-paced environment. Because of the millions of people utilizing these types of services, potential dates get interested--and lose interest--quickly. Requesting multiple photos draws attention away from any serious conversation. Most folks don't have the time to sift through their photo albums, so choose a picture that meets a specific request and then email or post it. Busy people often choose online dating because of its simplicity and ease, and busy people have busy lives. And if you're asking for extras before you even start dating, chances are many folks will label you as high maintenance. Before you start requesting multiple photos, carefully review the individual's online profile. He or she may have already posted an assortment of pictures, or may have included a link to an online photo album.
