Forgiving a Husband for Cheating To Save Your Marriage

The most frustrating and difficult situation for a wife is an extramarital affair of her husband. It is well known that women are much stronger than men in sustaining relationship; however, no woman can stand an extramarital affair of her husband. 

Divorce is the easiest way to get rid of your marital relationship but I personally feel if you handle the situation carefully, your relationship with your husband can grow stronger eve after betrayal. But we need to talk about a few issues first.

First, you need to figure out how exactly your partner got inclined to other woman. Was there any gap on emotional level? Did he frequently share all what he would feel in his daily life? What was the last time you spent a beautiful intimate on bed.

Many husbands do not share enough with their wives and that’s how they get inclined to some other person whom they can share with. There may be other reasons too like communication breakdown, disappointment, or Sexual boredom with the married life etc.

The good way to deal with the above situation will be talking to your husband more frequently so that he can come closer to you.  Give adequate time to your husband and interact with him as much as you can to understand him better. Many times, we create some “Gaps” in our relationship that becomes severe issues later on.

In Addition to above, I remember a proverb I would generally try to memorize at the time of my junior high; “To err is human and to forgive is divine.” Today I realize and strongly believe that most of our problem can be solved if we, somehow, acquire the power of ‘forgiveness’.

But are you really in a state of mind to forgive your husband in order to save your marriage? Easier said than done! I know it is very difficult to forget the fact that he cheated on you regardless of how much you loved him but I would say that it takes real hard work for a relationship to work. And love and forgiveness are two great weapon with which you can win every war of conflicts in your married life. So, be the best friend of your spouse, forgive him for the extramarital affair and move on.
