Mayumi Wakamura (若村麻由美 Wakamura Mayumi, born on January 3, 1967 in Nerima, Tokyo) is a Japanese actress. She decide to be an actress at age sixteen when she saw a stage show which was made by a famous professinal actor's stage production. Later she joined his stage production to be an actress. In February, 2004, she was married to a religious group "Shakusonkai" (釈尊会) leader Kanehiro Ono.
She debuted at a six month TV series in 1987 in a Japanese government-owned TV station. She was twenty one then.
