Born in Kagoshima Prefecture (Japan) in 1978, MANAMI KONISHI joined Kohei Tsuka's Theatre Company in 1999, and made a stage debut in Tsuka's eminent play "Netorare Sosuke". She established her experience in theatre performances playing in "Kamata Koshinkyoku" (director: Kohei Tsuka) for the consecutive years (in '99 and '00), as well as in "Akaoni" (director: Hideki Noda) in 2004.Manami's filmography began when she starred in the acclaimed film "Amidado Dayori" (2002 /director: Takashi Koizumi) in the role of Sayuri.
