Hey wait!!! Is that J-Pop star Maki Goto's brother??? No...just a resemblance. Tatsuya Fujiwara is a young actor who made his debut at the age 16, starring in many dramas. However, in 2000, he was given the lead role in one of Japan's most controversial films, the haunting movie Battle Royale. He plays a 9th grade student who is forced with his classmates to kill each other on a deserted island. Despite the controversy surround the premise of the plot, Fujiwara became a star with the film's success. He would on to star in another hit Japanese film Persona. In 2003, Tatsuya reprises his breakthrough role in the sequel Battle Royale II, this time as the anti-hero whose terrorist group is the focus of the film.
