Kesari bath Sajjige Burfi Rava (Sooji)

Kesari bath also known as Sajjige, is a sweet dish from the south indian state of Karnataka. It is a sweet made from boiled suji or cream of wheat, sugar, and fruits. It is a great tea time snack as well as a delicious dessert dish. Kesri Bath is also called Sooji Halwa in most of the parts of north India where it is a very popular dish.

To prepare Kesari Bath,  you will require 1 cup rava or sooji or cream of wheat, 2 cups whole milk, 1 1/2 cups water, 1 cup sugar, 4 tbsp ghee, half tsp cardamom powder and a few raisins.

Take a deep pan and let the ghee heat for some time. Now add semolina in it and let it cook for some time. Keep on stirring to avoid burning of the semolina. Simmer down the heat and add sugar, cardamom powder and raisins. Next, add milk and water and allow it to cook. Keep on cooking till you get a pudding like consistency. Now remove from heat and serve hot.
