SUBSCRIBE: Receive updates by email: Recipes ! << IndexChurmuriChurmuri is a light snack food similar to bhel puri prepared with puffed rice mixed with onions, spices, pepper, rock salt,etc. It is mostly eaten in eastern India, specially West Bengal. Its also a common street snack in many south Indian states like karnataka. Churmuri is a delicious tea time snack. It is quite easy to prepare and there is no need for any prior preparations unlike other snacks. Its simple and easy to make in very less time and is very healthy too. For making churmuri, all that is required is Murmuri (puffed rice),
a small onion, Cut the onion into small pieces. Grate the carrots and cut the tomatoes. Finely grind Green chilies, coriander leaves and curry leaves in a blender. Roast the peanuts and cashews. Take a bowl and put all the above mentioned ingredients as well as the puffed rice. Add salt, sugar and lemon juice or tamarind juice according to your taste. Mix all the ingredients in the bowl. Serve immediately so that the puffed rice do not become soggy. Serve with tea or coffee.
