Maaza

Maaza is a fruit based drink brand marketed in India. The most popular drink of maaza is the mango variety, although pineapple and orange flavors are also available.

Maaza was launched in 1976 in India. Maaza was also marketed in the middle east by Maaza International Co LLC, Dubai. In India, Maaza was acquired by Coca-Cola India in 1993 from Parle along with other brands such as Limca, Thums Up and Gold Spot, although Parle still controls the rights of Maaza in other countries.

Over the years, Maaza has become synonymous with mango drink. There are other brands in market too such as frooty and slice, but still Maaza has a big market share. Maaza lovers credit it of being thicker and sweeter than its counterparts. Maaza is claimed to be made from choicest Alphonso Mangoes, which is the most famous and delicious variety of mango grown in India.

In the presence of the cut throat competition, maaza is very aggressively marketed. It is marketed as a fun fruit drink for the whole family and friends. Punch lines such as "Taaza Mango,Maaza Mango", "Botal mein Aam, Maaza hain Naam" and the most popular "Yaari Dosti Taaza Maaza" are very commonly found in TV and hoardings across India.
