It is made of wheat flour, oil and may or may not be stuffed. Another version is also eaten in South INdia, known as Parotta. Paratha is also eaten in various forms in other south asian countries, mostly introduced by the INdians who settled there. It is widely eaten in Myanmar, Singapore, Malaysia, NEpal, Pakistan and even in the Caribbean. Paratha is eaten with curries and other dishes. It is eaten similar to roti, the staple bread of India. In fact paratha looks similar to roti, but it is richer and cooked with oil or ghee. It may also be stuffed. Stuffed paratha is very filling. It may be eaten with a chunk of butter and/or curd. Stuffed paratha(mostly aalo paratha) is a commonly eaten for breakfast in Punjab.
