It is a very popular dish mainly prepared in the state of Rajasthan. It’s a type of round, hard bread but tastes very good when served with “Srikhand” .One of the reasons that it is very popular in the areas like Rajasthan is that these areas are arid and the bread requires very little amount of water to prepare. This bread is mostly eaten with daal. Bati is in fact synonymous with daal and dal bati is one of the most famous dishes of the region. Here we will be writing how to prepare daal baati. To make baati bread you need two cups of atta(wheat flour), ghee (1 cup) , warm boiled water nearly half cup , 1/8 spoon salt. First mix the flour with salt. Add melted ghee to it. Now make dough by gathering the flour to form a mound, add hot water in it and make a stiff dough. Roll the dough into small balls and add some ghee to the exterior of each one. Now, its time to bake our baati. Bake the baati for 25 minutes approx in the oven till it becomes hard and somewhat crusty.
Baati is now ready. Serve the baati piping hot with daal.
