The College offers courses in 11 Departments which include Biochemistry, Business Management, Catering Science & Hotel Management, Commerce, Computer Science and Applications, Corporate Secretaryship, Electronics, Food and Nutrition, Master of Business Administration, International Business, and Computer Applications. The institution has introduced PG courses and Research facilities for pursuing M.Phil as well as PhD programs. The admission is made on the basis of an entrance examination and performance in the qualifying examinations. A few seats are reserved for sports category depending on the nature of the course. Postgraduate students work on micro research projects leading to submission of theses in their respective subjects. In the case of faculty, teachers are encouraged to pursue their research by granting special study leave. There is a research committee in the institution which examines project proposals and provides necessary financial and administrative assistance to faculty members.. The extension activities of the college are organized under the supervision of a faculty member designated for this job. Some major activities have been undertaken encompassing community development, health and hygiene awareness, adult education literacy, social work, medical camp, blood donation camps etc. The students and teachers are encouraged to participate in the extension activities by extending monetary and non- monetary benefits. Some of the extension activities are undertaken in collaboration with NGOs. |
