Xavier Institute of Management (XIM), Bhubaneswar was established in 1987. During this short span of time, XIM has carved out a name for itself. The institute owes its origin to a mutual contract between the government of Orissa and the OJS (Orissa Jesuit Society). XIM helps to groom professional managers for the corporate sector and for other socio-economic institutions which serve the people. XIM pays special attention on the needs of both corporate and service sectors.
The institute offers admission to three academic programs: Postgraduate Program in Management (PGP), Executive Postgraduate Program in Management (ExPGP), and Postgraduate Program in Rural Management (PGPRM). The two-year full-time & three-year part-time Post-Graduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM) and the two-year full-time Post-Graduate Diploma in Rural Management (PGDRM) of this Institute are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, Government of India. Since XIMB is an autonomous Institute not affiliated to any university, it does not grant degrees.
The Executive PGP taps the dynamic interchange between academic theory, research and practical experience. Faculty with rich research and consulting experience share their theories and experiences while participants ask questions. This program develops ability to conduct critical, systematic analyses.
