St. Paul's School, Rourkela is one of the best schools in Eastern India. The school offers study from Nursery to Class XII. The course of studies mainly includes English, Hindi, Sanskrit, History, Civics, Geography, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Physical Training (PT), Socially Useful & Productive Work (SUPW), and Computer Science.
The St Paul's School has a Parents' Group, which helps to encourage and enable greater parental involvement in the non-academic life of the school. All parents and guardians of students of at the school are members. The Group enables encouragement of a sense of community among parents, their wards and staff through the organisation of events which provide an interface among these groups. Each year, the Parents' Group Committee welcomes new parents to the school with a supper held in the Dining Hall. During the autumn term the New Year group is assisted in the formation of its own committee to act as a focal point for that group's gatherings and activities going forward.
There are all year round inter-house competitions in sports (football, basketball, cricket, athletics), debating, elocution, quizzes and other extra-curricular and co-curricular activities. These are held separately at the sub-junior, junior and senior levels. The Father Eddie Memorial Football tournament for Senior Boys (Under 17) and the Indal Trophy (Under 15) are conducted every year. This event draws a big crowd with teams from Goa, Kolhapur, Bombay, Pune, Bangalore and other cities taking active part.
