Shri Ramachandra Bhanj Medical College is a government-run medical college in Cuttack, Orissa. The college is recognized by the Medical Council of India.
About one hundred candidates are selected for undergraduate training (MBBS) in medical science each year at this institute. In addition, there are Postgraduate degree & diploma students, Pharmacy Diploma students, Medical Laboratory Technology Diploma students, and Super-specialty students each year. A five year program in Nursing is also offered here. Postgraduate courses are offered in the fields of General Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Pharmacology, Forensic Medicine, Microbiology, Community Medicine, Anesthesia, Dermatology & Venereology, T.B & Respiratory diseases, Psychiatry, and Radio-diagnosis. Diploma Courses are offered in Clinical Pathology, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Child Health, Orthopedics, ENT, TB & Chest Diseases (DTCD), Radiotherapy, and Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
The students of this institution have made a name for themselves both within the country and abroad. The faculty members show keen interest in research programs. The college also conducts a number of community oriented projects. It provides training to students in community medicine. It gives proper exposure to the students about community life in villages. This project also contributes a lot to health education programs, family welfare, and child health activities.
