Many special treatments prescribed are available at this institution. Some of the specializations offered at the institute are: Dravyaguna, Kayachikitsa, Ayurvedic siddhant & Darshan, Mano Roga and Mano vygyan, Shalya, Vikriturgyana and Roga Nidan, Rasshastra and Bhaishaya Kalpana, Prasuti Tantra and shtri roga, and Shalakya.
Students are taught how Ayurvedic herbal preparations and other therapies produce potentially beneficial effects for preventing and treating certain cancers, treating infectious disease, promoting health, and treating aging. Mechanisms underlying these effects, like free-radical scavenging effects, immune system modulation, and brain neurotransmitter modulation are taught here.
On completion of the course, Ayurvedic practitioners may choose to enter into private practice, join other health care practitioners at a wellness center, teach public education classes on Ayurvedic principles, or supervise a pancha karma center.
