Vaish College of Engineering is located in Rohtak, Haryana. It is affiliated with Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak. The college, established in 1995, is one of the first self financing colleges of Haryana. It comprises of 25 acres of land, which is part of Vaish Educational Complex spread over huge area.
The college offers Bachelor’s degree programs in Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, and Mechanical Engineering. These courses are of four years duration, and comprise eight semesters. Admission is based on students’ performance in the Common Entrance Test of Haryana. Master’s degree is offered in Electronics & Communication, Computer Science, and Business Administration.
The college organizes AICTE Sponsored National Level Seminars every year. Renowned Professors from the NIT, Universities and representative from industry visit the campus during this event. An NSS Unit of 50 volunteers is also functioning in the college. The role of this unit is to engage students in constructive social action. It organizes rallies on topics like 'Water Conservation' and ‘Community Health’. NSS Camps are organized periodically, in which students are taught different skills of immense use.
The college library has over 18,000 books, around 80 national and international journals, magazines and newspapers. The hostels are spacious and clean. Television and Common Room, with facilities for indoor games like table tennis, carom, chess etc. are provided. Recruitment is done through the placement cell of the college. Companies like Infosys Technologies, Wipro Technologies, Appulse Retail Software Solutions, Avesta Computers, I-Flex Solutions, and L & T visit the campus every year to conduct interviews.
