Viswajyothi College of Engineering

Viswajyothi College of Engineering & Technology (VJCET) was established in the year 2001 as a self- financing engineering college. It is affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University. It is managed by the Kothamangalam Diocese, which has 90 schools, 3 affiliated Colleges and 3 other technical institutions under its management. The college boasts of competent and dedicated Faculty, along with scientifically planned     infrastructural facilities.

The college offers undergraduate courses in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, and Mechanical Engineering. The admission is based on the result of Common Entrance Examination conducted by Commissioner of Entrance Examination, Kerala. Candidates are also required to pass the Plus two examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Examination, or any other examinations accepted by the University as equivalent. 15% of the management quota seats are reserved for NRIs.

There is a fully computerized library which contains rich collection of books & CD's on engineering and other diverse subjects. The library has Network facility and reference books. VJCET provides excellent hostel facilities for boys and girls. Members of the teaching staff are appointed as Resident Tutors in the hostel. The boys’ hostel can accommodate 150 boys, while the girls’ hostel accommodates 225 girls.

The college also helps students to excel in co-curricular activities. Four associations are run here: Computer Science, Electronics and Communications, Information Technology and Mechanical Associations. A highly successful agenda of programs is conducted. These include seminars, paper presentations, and the immensely popular mega Personality Hunts and Brand Wars.
