	TKM Institute of Technology
Thangal Kunju Musaliar Institute of Technology is the latest institute to be established by the T.K.M. College Trust. The campus is located about 23 km from Kollam City. The institute started functioning in the year 2002 and has the approval of the AICTE. It is affiliated to the Cochin University of Science and Technology.

The institute now offers B.Tech courses in three disciplines with an intake of 60 students in each discipline. The branches of study offered are Electronics   &   Communication   Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, and Information Technology. Efforts   are underway to start 3 more B.Tech courses in Applied Electronics & Instrumentation,   Biomedical Engineering and Food Technology.  Fifty percent of the seats (thirty seats in each discipline) are filled by the controller of Entrance Examinations based on the marks secured at the Common Entrance test. The remaining seats are management seats to be filled on the basis of marks obtained by the candidate at the qualifying examination.

The Central Library and knowledge centre is one of the most important academic facilities provided to the students. There are more than 6000 Books (1765 Titles) and 64 periodicals, 5 newspapers, 250 CD-ROMS, previous university question papers etc. Library is fully computerized with LAN operating on specialized library software.

Placements are facilitated through combined effort of students, faculty and professionals. The cell cooperates with reputed companies for campus placement, and arranges industrial training in reputed organizations. It organizes visits to various industries to provide practical orientation to students, and arranges talks by eminent personalities on the campus.
