SCMS School of Engineering & Technology

Established in 2001, SCMS School of Engineering & Technology (SSET) is a new generation engineering college set up under the self-financing scheme. SSET offers graduate and postgraduate programs in various streams of engineering and technology. It is located in Karukutty, Ernakulam District, Kerala. The SSET is recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated to the Mahatma Gandhi University.

The various programs offered are B.Tech in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics and Communication, Computer Science, and Automobile Engineering. The total intake capacity is 420 seats in six branches; this makes SSET the largest engineering college under the self financing scheme in Kerala. Each department has its own faculty, supporting staff and technical instructors working under the Head of the Department. 50% seats are in management quota and 50% on merit through selection by Department of Technical Education, Kerala.

The SSET has a full-fledged captive Multimedia Program and Course Content Development Division. This division develops superior educational programs. Multimedia educational content makes education comprehensible and clear. This Division has the facility to edit and compose video and audio. It also offers crash courses on 2D and 3D animation software for students.

A modern Computer Lab with 60 terminals on a LAN is set up for the use of the students. Internet connectivity is available 24 hours a day. The Computer Lab is also equipped with latest licensed software. The library has over 7000 latest books on all relevant engineering topics. The library also subscribes to a large number of national and international technical journals.
