Rajagiri School of Engineering & Technology

Rajagiri School of Engineering & Technology (RASET), established in 2001, is a private self-financing technical institution affiliated to the Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, Kerala, and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi. RASET is an endeavor of the Sacred Heart Province of the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI), the first-ever indigenous religious congregation for men in the Syrian Catholic tradition of Christianity in India.

The School offers Bachelor of Technology programs in different branches of Engineering and Technology, namely Applied Electronics and Instrumentation, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Information Technology. Each branch has 60 seats. Of these, 50% of the seats are filled up by the management, and the remaining 50%, as assessed by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations. 10% of the total seats (included under the 50% set apart for the management quota) are reserved for NRI, since this is a self-financing institution.

There is a Student Welfare Centre that is responsible for student counseling and for conducting training classes in personality development, leadership skills, communication, stress management, etc. A Student Council acts as a bridge between the students and the management. It provides opportunities for the students to develop their social and cultural life, and focuses on the overall development of the individual. The college also has various clubs like Arts Club, Literary Forum, and Music Club.

The campus has separate hostel facilities for boys and girls. Other facilities include a fitness center, sports facilities, a health center, and a bank extension counter.
