Mohandas College of Engineering

Mohandas College of Engineering and Technology (M-CET) is affiliated to University of Kerala and AICTE, New Delhi. It is located in Nedumangad, Thiruvananthapuram. The institution promotes and champions learning by providing a variety of instructional settings, where students and faculty can share new knowledge in science and technology. The institution strictly adheres to the procedures of AICTE and ISO and as a part of its quality assurance. The college is an education project of the leading industrial group –The Mohandas Group of companies, Thiruvananthapuram. The college is managed by V.N. Gangadhara Panickar Memorial trust.

Courses offered at the institute are undergraduate B.Tech programs in Biotechnology, Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics and Communication, Information Technology, Electrical and Electronics, and Mechanical Engineering. A Post Graduate program, MCA (Master in Computer Applications) is also offered. Admissions to all the courses are regulated on the basis of merit assessed in the Engineering Entrance Examination conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examination, Government of Kerala. The seats available are mainly categorized as merit and management quota.

The MCET campus has key resources needed for running a successful technical education center. These include separate blocks for every department, central library and a central computing facility, a Bank, Post Office, Co-operative Stores, Recreational Facilities, Cafeteria and Common Hall. The hardware labs have facilities for development work in digital logic, microprocessors and personal computers. The software lab has top of the line facilities including high-speed Internet. The college has two hostels for both girls and boys; each can accommodate up to 150 students.
