Mar Baselius College of Engineering

Mar Baselios College of Engineering & Technology (MBCET) is located in Nalanchira, Trivandrum, the capital of Kerala. It was established by the Malankara Catholic Church in 2002. The College is administered by the Malankara Catholic Educational Society of the Archdiocese of Trivandrum. The college is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and sanctioned by the Government of Kerala, leading to the B.Tech degree of the University of Kerala.

The following courses leading to the B.Tech degree of the University of Kerala, each with an intake of 60 students, are offered here: Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, and Civil Engineering.

The college has among the best computer labs in the state of Kerala. The Library provides access for students to vast database, full-text journals, and audio-visual programs in addition to an extensive collection of books. The library is fully computerized, and has more than 12000 volumes of text-books. The books are supplemented by CD's and microfilms. It also provides access to the Internet. Mar Baselios College of Engineering & Technology is the first fully residential engineering college in Kerala with two big hostels for men and one for women.
