MES College of Engineering

MES College of Engineering is situated in Kuttipuram, Kerala. It is the first self-financing engineering college in the private sector sanctioned by the Government of Kerala. This is an institution with minority status, catering to the needs of Muslims in particular. MES College of Engineering (MESCE) was established in 1994. It has NBA Accredited Departments and is affiliated to Calicut University.

Undergraduate engineering courses are offered in Applied Electronics and Instrumentation, Computer Science and Engineering,  Electronics and Communication, Electrical and Electronics, Information Technology, and Mechanical Engineering. Each department has an annual intake of 60 students. In addition, an undergraduate course in Architecture is also offered. Postgraduate courses are offered in Computer Applications, Business Administration, and Thermal Systems Engineering.

The college has a fully computerized library complex. It offers access to digital e-journals and web resources. The library forms part of the centralized campus computer network. Currently there are over 39000 volumes of technical books and 127 nationally and internationally reputed journals, apart from a voluminous CD collection. All departments have their own independent libraries.  

Various clubs function in this college. The students’ chapter of the IEEE, a non-profit organization, is quite active. It promotes the engineering process of creating, developing, integrating, sharing, and applying knowledge about electronics and information technology. The Energy and Environment Conservation Club (EECC) helps in creating awareness about the conservation of energy and the environmental resources. The NSS helps students to understand and appreciate the problems of the community, awaken social consciousness and inculcate in them a sense of dignity of labor.
