LBS College of Engineering is located in Kasaragod district of Kerala. Affiliated to Kannur University, the college offers undergraduate courses in various disciplines. The college helps prepare each of its students for their future, providing the finest possible career preparation that is required for engineering professionals.
The following courses are offered in the college: B.Tech Mechanical Engineering, B.Tech Electrical & Electronics Engineering, B.Tech Electronics & Communication Engineering, B.Tech Computer Science & Engineering, B.Tech Information Technology, and Master of Computer Applications. The B.Tech Degree course extends over a period of four academic years comprising of eight semesters. The 6 Semester MCA course follows a similar well-formatted approach. A maximum of 30 students per year are admitted on the basis of the results from the entrance test conducted by Commissioner of Entrance Exams, Government of Kerala. The minimum qualification for admission to this course is a B.Sc or B.Com degree with Mathematics or Statistics.
All departments have well-equipped laboratories. For example, the Electronics department has separate labs for Electronic circuits, Pulse circuits, Microprocessors, Linear ICs, and Communication and Microwave. An exclusive library with reference books and international journals has been made available. Internet facility through ISDN lines at a speed of 128 kbps is also provided to the students.
As far as sports are concerned, the campus has a football ground, basketball court, volleyball court, and even an artificial cricket pitch. Table tennis, Badminton and Chess are a few of the indoor sports that are played here. The respective teams for inter-college tournaments are selected from amongst the students. |
