KMCT College of Engineering is a self financing college, affiliated to the Calicut University, Kerala. It is located in Kallanthode, in Mannasery district of Kerala. The college is famous for producing engineers with high caliber and exceptional professional skills. It offers undergraduate courses in six branches.
Four year B.Tech degree programs are offered in the fields of Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, and Automobile Engineering. All the courses except Electronics & Communication Engineering have an annual intake of 60 students, which has an intake of 120 students. It is essential for candidates to pass 10+2 examination, or examinations recognized equivalent, with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics put together.
To improve the job prospects of fresh graduates, a number of short term courses are run by the institute. A Soft Skills Development Program is organized by the Indian Express, Opportunities for Study Abroad Program by the British Council, and Job Oriented Career Guidance by TIME, Kozhikode. In addition, industrial/ field visits, seminars, symposia, technical quizzes and technical paper sessions are frequently organized for students. Companies like Satyam, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture and TCS recruit the graduates from this college.
The college has infrastructural facilities as per AICTE norms. All the laboratories in all departments are adequately equipped. The college library has more than 5000 volumes of latest books and journals from India and abroad. The computer centre has a high speed broadband Internet connection, which is free for students and staff. |
