Government Engineering College, Sreekrishnapuram is located in Palakkad district of Kerala. It offers four year undergraduate courses in four disciplines. The college is affiliated to the University of Calicut.
Undergraduate courses are offered in the fields of Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Information Technology, and Civil Engineering. The annual intake is 60 students in every branch. The admission to the B Tech Degree Course is on the Basis of the Kerala Engineering Entrance Examination conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations. Candidates must also have passed 10+2 or equivalent with 50% marks in mathematics, and 50% in aggregate of mathematics, physics and chemistry.
There is a fully computerized with a vast collection of books, periodicals, journals, and a good collection of CD-ROMs. The Central Computing Facility offers state-of-the-art hardware and software; round the clock broadband Internet, high-speed multi-purpose laser printers and scanners. Separate hostels for men and women are also provided on the campus.
The Placement, Training & Information Bureau (PTIB) provides all possible assistance to students in their efforts to find employment, and also to cater to the needs of various organizations in conducting campus interviews for placements. It provides all audio visual facilities for PowerPoint Presentations, written test, group discussions and interviews. Student Chapter of IEEE (Institution of Electronics & Electrical Engineering) is very active in the campus. It helps organize industrial/ field visits, seminars, symposia and technical paper sessions for students. The NSS also works to engage the students in creative and constructive social action. |
