College of Engineering, Pathanamthitta

College of Engineering, Pathanamthitta is one of the premier institutions among the new   generation engineering colleges of South India. It was established in 2004 under the Institute of Human Resources Development (IHRD - a Govt. of Kerala undertaking).  The College is affiliated to Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT).

The institution offers undergraduate courses in three streams: Electronics & communications, Computer Science & Engineering and Information Technology. Teachers benefit from a continuous evaluation program; this has enabled the institution to maintain a high level of academic excellence. The college has some well maintained laboratories.

The Computer Lab has state-of-the-art systems and Network and Communication equipments. The Internet Lab offers high speed broadband Internet access to all students.

A fully computerized library has been set up. The library has a rich collection of books and periodicals which mainly focuses on Computer Science, Electronics and Information Technology. Books are also available on Literature and Arts. The library has a good collection of about 10,000 books and over 60 bound volumes of periodicals and magazines.

Continuous Internal Assessment (CIA) of students is done through class works, periodical quizzes, tests, tutorials, laboratory works, projects etc. The outreach programs are designed to inculcate an aptitude for professional judgment, decision making, initiative, leadership, and sense of responsibility. A Career Guidance and Placement Unit provide orientation classes and workshops on personality development. Industry interaction is also facilitated by the unit. Companies like WIPRO Info Systems Bangalore, TCS Technopark, US SOFT Technopark, and Infosys Bangalore regularly visit the campus.
