College of Engineering , Karunagapally

College of Engineering, Karunagappally has been one of the leading technical institutions in Kerala since its establishment in 2000. Affiliated to CUSAT, College of Engineering, Karunagappally offers B.Tech in various disciplines. The institution is approved by AICTE, New Delhi.  It is under the management of IHRD (Institute of Human Resources Development), a Kerala Government undertaking. The college sets and maintains very high standards in education, with main focus on all round development of students.

The college offers undergraduate courses in Electronics & Communication Engineering (45 seats), Computer Science & Engineering (30 seats) and Information Technology (30 seats). The departments are provided with computer labs, electronic circuits’ labs, digital labs, and communication labs.  Workshops are organized regularly in all the departments.
The college does not offer any postgraduate programs currently.

Various student organizations are active in the college. The students’ chapter of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) helps organize debates and group discussions. Experts in various fields are invited to present talks on their field of expertise. A simulation of the different competitive examinations that are open for graduate students (GATE, CAT) is held to familiarize the students with these exams. All the students enrolled in the college are members of a student union.

All the staff members and students of the college are entitled to use the college library. A Training & Placement Cell is run by the collaboration of teachers and students. An Industry-institution interaction cell is functioning in the college to facilitate greater collaboration of the institution with the neighboring industrial establishments
