College of Engineering, Adoor

College of Engineering, Adoor (CEA) was established by Institute of Human Resources Development (IHRD) in October, 1995. It has established a reputation as a centre of academic excellence that provides undergraduate studies in various disciplines. The college is affiliated to Cochin University of Science & Technology (CUSAT).  CEA is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

The education process at CEA combines a student centered and participatory style. Classes at this college usually depend on active participation through seminars and assignments. Every branch has its own association which organizes seminars and invites experts to give lectures. An experienced faculty uses proven teaching tools for developing the analytical and professional skills of students. Admission to the engineering branches is based on the Common Entrance Examinations conducted by the Government of Kerala. CEA offers BTech courses in Electronics & Communication Engineering (120 seats), Computer Science & Engineering (60 seats) and Mechanical Engineering (60 seats).

All the departments have separate laboratories. For example, the Electronics department has a Basic Electronics Lab, a Digital Electronics Lab, a Microprocessor Lab, an Electronic Circuit Design Lab and a Communication Lab. The well-equipped library has a good collection of technical books, ready reference sources, handbooks, manuals, CD-ROMs, data-books and other information sources.
