Cochin University of Science & Technology (CUSAT) is located in Cochin in the Ernakulam district of Kerala. Established in 1971, the university consists of three campuses, two in Kochi and one in Kuttanad. The university has earned recognition as one of the highly reputed and internationally acclaimed Indian universities.
The university has academic links and exchange programs with several institutions across the world. Some of these institutions include Kursk Technical University (Russia), Chosun University (Korea), Kochi University (Japan), University of Bergen /NERSC (Bergen / NERCI), Group Sup de co Montpellier (France), UT-Battelle, State of Tennessee (USA), Polarizone Technologies (Malaysia), and Indo-Canadian Program (University of Manitoba, Canada).
The institute offers a number of opportunities to any aspirant with Integrated MSc, BTech degree and Master’s Programs in pure sciences, engineering and several inter- disciplinary domains. The most important programs offered are the 5 year Integrated MSc in Software Engineering, Master’s program in Computer Applications, B.Tech program in Instrumentation, B.Tech in Naval Architecture & Ship Building, and B. Tech, M. Tech and PhD programs in Civil Engineering.
The Computer Center of the University offers computational facilities for teaching and research programs in the various departments of the University. It boasts of high performance computer servers, file servers, work stations and other range of machines. The University Library is equipped with a Campus Wide Network, which makes it possible for the academic community of 30 departments to access information from their location itself. The Library also has ADLIB software package, a user-friendly library management software. |
