Baselios Mathew II College of Engineering

Baselios Mathew II College of Engineering is located in Sasthamcotta in Kollam district of Kerala. Established in the year 2002, BMCE’s reputation for excellence and opportunity attracts some of the most talented students in the state. It is affiliated to the University of Kerala and approved by AICTE.

The institution offers courses in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering. Both undergraduate and postgraduate level courses are offered. Personality development programs are conducted for the benefit of the students. Eminent persons from various parts of Kerala are invited to conduct placement training programs in the college.

The college has good facilities for students. The Computer Centre has more than 20o systems. Most of the systems are connected by LAN. The library has around 5000 books and periodicals. All students are encouraged to contribute at least one book to the school library. The laboratories are fully equipped according to the guidelines of AICTE. Accommodation is provided for more than 200 boys and girls in separate hostels. Progress reports are sent to parents every semester or more often. The College has a very active Arts and Sports Club. Technical fests are conducted by the association of each department every year.

The Training and Placement Cell provide facilities to develop the student’s skills in problem solving, presentation and interview. It conducts communicative English classes on weekends to improve their communication skill. Training and Placement Cell also conduct many seminars on career guidance and personality development.
