Amal Jyothi College of Engineering is situated at Koovappally in Kottayam district of Kerala. The institute is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
Amal Jyothi College of Engineering offers five degree programs (B.Tech) of 4 years duration. The disciplines in which the programs are offered are Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering. Apart from these regular professional courses in the above branches of engineering, the students are trained in various self enhancement programs like personality development, spoken English, communication skills etc.
Internal assessment of students is done through class works, periodical quizzes, tests, tutorials, laboratory works, and projects. The various extension programs help inculcate aptitude for professional judgment, decision making, initiative, leadership, and a sense of responsibility in students. The Societal Technological Intervention Centre (STIC) is a unique feature of Amal Jyothi to help society in solving problems using the latest technology. It is also a tool to demonstrate the technological capabilities of professionals to transform society. STIC extends its services to environment related problems, disaster management, proper utilization of water resources, earthquake studies, scientific farming, and techno-economic studies.
Various clubs and societies managed by students themselves contribute to the cultural life on campus. Clubs for tourism, photography, trekking, music, debate and fine arts are also organized by students. Students also get opportunities for part-time employment on campus. |
