Adi Shankara Institute of Engineering and Technology is located at Kalady in Ernakulam district of Kerala. The college is run by Adi Shankara Trust, a registered trust that runs other institutions in the state, including the Sree Shankara College and Sree Sarada Vidyalaya.
Adi Shankara Institute of Engineering and Technology has been accredited with ISO 9001:2000 Certification. This is the first new generation Engineering College to get the prestigious international standards certification for its quality standards of technical education. The college is affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam and offers under-graduate courses approved by AICTE in various disciplines. These include Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Applied Electronics & Instrumentation and MBA. The duration for the completion of B. Tech Degree course is 4 years. The annual intake is 60 students.
The college is equipped with state-of-the art engineering laboratories. Regular training workshops are held in all the departments. For accommodation, the college has a men’s hostel that has the provision for accommodating around 50 students. The college also provides accommodation outside the campus for girls and boys. The college library has a collection of over 15,000 books in 3,000 titles.
A number of clubs function actively in the college. The Arts Club organizes various cultural programs. The Nature Club creates awareness in students on various environmental issues. The Literary Club conducts competitions in various literary events like poetry writing and essay writing. The college also holds workshops on personality development, SWOT analysis, sessions on group discussion etc. |
