AWH Engineering College

AWH Engineering College is a project of the Association for Welfare of the Handicapped (AWH). The AWH has 86 institutions dealing with all aspects of disability welfare. AWH is the only one of its kind under Muslim minority management in the country. Several programs under the Human Resource Development are undertaken by the AWH. The AWH engineering college was started in 2001 as a private self-financing college, fully committed to providing quality education in the technical arena.

The college offers undergraduate courses in Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering. The first Postgraduate course offered in the college is the MCA program. This three-year course offers a complete knowledge of computers with sound mathematical, business and analytical skills.

The unique Automated Library of AWH Engineering College has around 9000 volumes of technical books and several national and international journals. The collection also comprises printed books, CD-ROMs, audio and video cassettes. The on– line access to DELNET databases provides information on all disciplines of study. All the departments have well-equipped laboratories. Separate hostels are available for boys and girls. Hostels are provided with mess, communication facilities and recreation facilities. 150 students are provided accommodation in the hostel.

An elected student’s council is responsible for organizing various student activities. The Technical club arranges special seminars on LINUX and competitions in programming. Electronics and communication association conducts seminars on Artificial Intelligence & Neural networks, technical quizzes and competitions. The campus is declared as a “plastic- free” one.
