Koneru Lakshmaiah College of Engineering

The College started with four conventional disciplines of study in 1980. At present it offers nine programs in the undergraduate fields and five programs in the post-graduate fields. The college has three computer centers catering to the computing needs of the students. Most of the top rankers in the state-wide entrance examination opt for KLCE, resulting in filling up of all available seats very quickly. The college is well-known for the discipline and good conduct of its students. 

KLCE has a unique department named “Basic Engineering Department” to take special care of incoming first year students. It also boasts of a center called "Center for Alternative Renewable Energy Sources (CARES)" to promote non conventional energies in Nagarjuna University. KLCE is the first private engineering college to launch Industrial & Production Engineering, Information Science & Technology and Computer Science & Engineering branches in the State. KLCE is also the first private engineering college to launch Electronics & Computers Engineering in India.

The college runs the Personality Development Cell (PDC), which aims at developing all round communication and social skills in students by the time they obtain their degrees. It is a launching pad for their careers, aimed chiefly to inculcate a degree of professionalism in them. All students after making a career option attend a compulsory Communication Skills Development program organized by PDC.
