The Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology was established in the year 1979. The institute is a premier center of learning for technology located in Hyderabad, India. It was established by the The Chaitanya Bharathi Educational Society, which was led by a group of visionaries from diverse professions which include Engineering, Medicine, Law and Management. The primary objective of the society is to impart value based education to the future generations of India.
The college admits Under-graduate students through the state-wide EAMCET exam. It offers the BE courses in Electronics and Communications Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Production Engineering, Information Technology and Bio-Technology Engineering. Masters in Engineering (ME) courses are offered in the Civil, Electronics and Communication, and Mechanical streams. The college also offers MBA and Master in Computer Applications (MCA) courses.
The impressive campus of CBIT boasts of excellent labs and computer centers within all the blocks of the college. The well stocked Library and Information Centre, sports and indoor and outdoor games are amongst the many facilities available. Students engage in variety of sports including basketball, football, cricket, badminton, and volleyball.
Chaitanya Smruti, the alumni association of CBIT has been an important part of the tradition of the institute. By organizing regular reunions when past students pay a visit to their alma mater and meet their friends, Chaitanya Smruti helps retain the bond between the alumni and the college. Reunion Day for the Alumni is held every year in December. |
