Bapatla Engineering College is one of the six educational Institutions founded and run by Bapatla Education Society. The society was established in the year 1962 registered under societies act XXI of 1860 with the objectives to found and run the educational & cultural institutions. The College is situated a little away from the din and bustle of Bapatla, a historic town.
Bapatla Engineering College was established by society in the year 1981 with a total intake of 180 students in CE, ME & E.C.E branches. The college was initially affiliated to Andhra University and later to Nagarjuna University. An additional section with an intake of 60 was sanctioned for Mechanical Engineering branch in 1987. This college is considered as one of the top 10 colleges in Andhra Pradesh. The college is widely acclaimed for its meticulous planning, resource scheduling and institutional management.
From year 1994, the college embarked on programs of expansion in terms of courses and intake, infrastructure and facilities. Presently the college offers 9 B.Tech Degree Courses. The college also offers 6 Post-graduate courses in sciences including MCA. The 4 year B. Tech course is offered in nine branches: Biotech, CE, Ch. E., CSE, ECE, EEE, EIE, IT and ME. All these courses are appropriately accredited.
The college has the rare tradition of bagging the University top ranks year after year. The College believes in adequate facilities being provided for all-round development of students.
