Parthiban is a renowned Tamil Actor and director, having more than 10 years experience in the film industry. He has worked in more than 25 films, including his work in many films as a Assistant Director with his mentor Bhagiyaraj.
As a director his first film was Pudhiya Pathai, in which he also played the lead role. It went on to become a Silver Jubilee hit. He even won a national award for Puthiya Pathai. His comedy pairing in Bharathi Kannama with Vadivelu reminded the audience of the Laurel and Hardy films. It became a huge success. The film ‘House Full’ which he produced and directed him won the National award for Best Regional film for the year 1998, even though it received a lukewarm response at the box office.
He even tried his hand at literature through Kirukalgal and acquired moderate success. Parthiban has no dearth of talent, what with a career that started with a national award and mega opening for his movie the likes of which only Rajinikanth can boast. However, he must try and avoid making movies with scripts suffering from a hangover of Cheri or Puthiya Paathai.

Parthiban married Seetha, a famous Tamil actress and the heartthrob of millions, but ler divorced her that came as much of a shock for his fans.
