He entered the film Industry in 1974 at the age of 14 by acting in Tatammakala(Grand mother's dream), a film produced by his father. He had been acting in movies for the past 27 years. At the age of 16, he acted in a film Annadammula Anubandham which brought him name and fame. Following this, he acted in other movlies, Roudi Ramudu Konte Krishnudu, Dana Veera Sura Karna. In 1984, he acted in a movie Mangamma Gari Manavadu that made him a popular young actor in Andhra Pradesh. Later he acted in Kathanayakudu , Sri Madvirat Potuluri Virabrahmendra Swamy Charitra.
