The key to successful online dating is having an interesting ad or profile. You might have the look, the personality but if your ad is poorly written. It can be a turn-off. You don’t have to be the best selling writer to write a good ad. Just keep a few things in mind when you write your ad.

• First off, describe yourself accurately and be honest about your personal information such as your age, height, weight, race, etc. Having said that, it doesn’t mean you have to bare your soul either, you still want to remain some sort of anonymity because you never know what kind of freaks are out there.
• Make your posting easy to read. Be brief and clear and don’t stuff it with your whole life story.
• Be clear about why you’re posting and what you are looking for in a partner so if the person reading your requirements doesn’t fit them, they don’t waste their time.
• Posting a photo will draw more people to your ad but be sure to post a current and realistic photo. Nothing that misrepresents your actual appearance.

And if you respond to others’ ads, show them that you actually read what they post by not asking questions that have already been stated on their ads or they will think that you’re only interested in their photos or physical description.
