Can Unrequited Love Be Real?

The debate goes on. You love someone that does not love you back. Can your love be real? From my experience, I do not believe it is.

But many people do.

Many people will tell you that there are several types of love and that unrequited love fits in that bill. But its not real. How can love be real when it is unreciprocated? When you love someone that does not love you, you are basically just infatuated/desperate for the other individual.

If you cannot look at things from a higher level view and realize that you are not loved back then you are truly disturbed. Sure, you may fall in love with somebody. But the moment you realize that they are not interested, you should run like the dickens. You would only cause yourself more heartache and more struggles if you continue to stay the course and still love the person.

First, the love may be a secret love, in which the person in love
either does not reveal their identity or their feelings to their lover.
Second, the love may be known but simply not reciprocated. Third,
the person in love may have had their love reciprocated in the past but
no longer, as in a breakup for instance (good loving gone bad).

Unrequited love ultimately ends. But if it ends, isn't love unconditional?

Unrequited Love ends for many reasons:

• The love is reciprocated.
• The feelings of love go away.
• Once the lover discovers that the feelings will never be reciprocated.
• The lover finds another person to love.
